Just thinking about turning in and the phone rings. Son and heir who was supposed to be arriving at the local station shortly and needing collecting calls to say he's on a train. From Cardiff. To Bristol. He's missed the last connection to the local station and the next one is at 4 something am.

So bloody tempted to tell him to wrap up warm and find a waiting room, or yomp home as it'll be good marine training. However it looks like IMmie will be getting a run to Bristol. Train gets in at twenty to midnight. It's not like I have a job and he works part time and not tomorrow. *sigh* [/rant]

That's not good, he should've planned better or found a workaround. As an ex marine, i can tell you prior planning and preparation prevent piss poor performance. Show him to the army recruiting office ;-)

Haha kids will never stop leaning on their parents when they need too...however much we try not too. Sorry about the late night run but at least there should be less traffic to you can enjoy a clear run hopefully.

Not such a bad ending mr T :)

myself & mrs w have been looking forward to a 2 week jaunt in the South of France without our offspring ( 21 & 17) only to told by a tearful daughter on sunday that she was coming & that she didn't want leaving behind: :(
think it was more the thought of us taking the dog away that worried her
