Bloody fuming. Been hit in the Zed..

Make sure you get a few quotes for any work to be done.

Local Indy perhaps or your regular garage.

Been to bodyshop this morning.... Wing too damaged for PDR, and I don't want it filling, so new it will be...

Including the wheels and 2 new tyres, £2000 for cash...

Me thinks he'll not want to pay that, so insurance it is...

Mike

Get another two quotes if possible.

There's always Z4's that are breaking so a new wing might be cheaper than quoted.

Maybe price the parts etc. yourself for the garage to fit?

Sorry to hear your news, don't let your insurance company take the car away if you intend keeping it, Say from the off that you want to buy it back if they write it off. Once they have it, you may never see it again and they will just pay you out.

That won't happen, my friend a Solicitor is handling the whole thing, and the engineer doing the report is also a friend :)

They're the right kinda friends to have

And so the fun begins.. Just had an email from my Solicitor, who has heard from soft lad's insurers, Esure this morning. They state; "Our insured categorically denies any admission of liability at the scene of this incident" Oh really? Told Dom to forward them this, for their comments, which I await with humour :headbang:

Bang to rights
Good man getting the video thats going to keep you safe with the slimy insurance companies

Luckily, in the absence of a dashcam, I was thinking on my feet, I also got him to agree to me taking his pic, so no denying who the driver was at the time.

Mike

Just had an email from the engineer to confirm the parts list;

2 x 108 wheels @ 429.17+vat each I thought they would refurb, but he recommends new if they've been subject to impact damage..
1 x headlamp (gouged) @ £451.84+vat
2 x Bridgestone RFT's @ £172.50 each

Just waiting for him to calculate the materials and labour for the repairs to the wing and sill covers on both sides, along with a full geometry check.

The cost is mounting up rapidly...

Mike

Hope you get it sorted swiftly.

Seems grey Z's are a d**khead magnet. I've had 2 now in the space of a year. Both times when car has been parked so had to claim off my own insurance.

 What a slimey muppet! Trying to deny it when he knows you filmed it!
Isn't that video evidence of him now committing insurance fraud? Maybe you could push that and get him criminally convicted or put on some insurance blacklist somewhere so getting insurance for him becomes a very expensive nightmare.
I have always tried to get peoples address out of them when I've been hit, even though they don't have to give it, most folks don't know that. I just think they are less likely to try this cnuts trick if they know you know where they live. Might be wishful thinking I know.

Hope it all gets sorted ASAP.

Got his name and address at the roadside, which I also confirmed on the spot with 192,com, as well as the fact that his cars was on the MID. I also got a snapshot of his face (with his permission) once bitten and all that...

Gutting mate.

Hopefully he doesn't turn into a muppet when it comes to admitting blame to his insurance company.

Fingers crossed the damage is just cosmetic and nothing mechanical.

Good luck with it all!

I'm sorry my quote as reared it's head mate.

It amazes me why those who are to blame suddenly become the innocent party and deny any/all responsibility.

It's a daily occurrence and the insurance companies really do have their work cut out in trying to get to the truth when muppets like this lie so blatantly.

BTW, there's nothing stopping you posting that video along with his name and address on Social Media and call him out as being a lying piece of scum, or words to that effect.

I'd be sharing that footage all over if he continues to be a dick about it.
