BTW, there's nothing stopping you posting that video along with his name and address on Social Media and call him out as being a lying piece of scum, or words to that effect.

I'd be sharing that footage all over if he continues to be a dick about it.

It's in reserve..

Hopefully his insurers will just bite the bullet, and with a bit of luck, refuse to indemnify him for his losses!

I don't know how many people on this forum are aware that you NEVER admit liability in a Traffic collision. If you read your Policy schedule it will say it in there. So whether he/she admits or not is immaterial. The Insurance companies argue percentages of blame. Camera evidence I doubt would entitle you to be 100% in the clear although it must sway it in your favour. I 'T-Boned' a car years ago in Guildford on my Harley. She got done for careless driving and a big fine. I was still held culpable by about 15% or something stupid, even though I got a dislocated and broken shoulder and a big payout in compo.

Is it not worth bearing in mind that the lad may not have actually denied it and that in fact the insurance company themselves were trying it on???..... Horrific if true but considering the lad knew he was on camera throughout it would be really odd and stupid to then deny it.

Recording your conversation and getting a pic of the offender was pure genius especially as emotions must have been running high , so well done for that
Oh and what is 192 com and MID

Oh and what is 192 com and MID

http://www.192.com/ is a site that allows you to search for people, cross checked against the electoral register :)

http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/ allows you to check if your car, or any other is listed on the MID (Motor Insurance Database)

Handy bookmarks to keep in your phones!!

And so the fun begins.. Just had an email from my Solicitor, who has heard from soft lad's insurers, Esure this morning. They state; "Our insured categorically denies any admission of liability at the scene of this incident" Oh really? Told Dom to forward them this, for their comments, which I await with humour :headbang:

That it brilliant! Well done mate. Makes it easy for you.

I'd recommend getting a dashcam also for further evidence.

I actually have dashcams in all of my vehicles, just hadn't got round to deciding on which one for the Zed.. Now rectified :)

So now, almost 2 months later his insurers have told my Solicitor that they "strongly deny liability"

Dom hadn't until now shown them the video, nor the numerous text messages from him apologising, and offering to pay cash to get my car repaired. He was waiting until they'd received their insured's completed claim form. So it looks like he's told a few porkies on it...

Dom replying to his insured today, enclosing screenshots of texts and the link to video, along with asking them to either provide a like for like courtesy vehicle, failing which I will be hiring one, seeing as almost two months have now elapsed..

Words fail me...

I wish I could say I was surprised :headbang:

I can only imagine how frustrated you are. Hope your booty of evidence and potential ballooning car hire bill significantly expedites action their end!

It wasn't unexpected, I've been stung like this once before, a long time ago. Hence getting as much "evidence" as possible. Just a shame I hadn't ordered the dashcam a few days earlier as was deliberating a few different ones..

Had my car less than two weeks not a ding on it all strait . :D
Stopped at Thurrock ibis hotel n in the morning
My rear arch has two dents  .
I looking into getting a smart repair done .
Nothing worse than getting your pride n joy
Damaged. :headbang: .

Sorry to hear of your troubles. Sad that it surprises so few people.
A couple of cars ago, I picked it up, parked up in multistorey(I know!) to go get Mrs SpiketheBike. By the time I got back there was a great red scrape and dent in front wing.

Well that didn't take long...

Solicitor emailed me @ 1537 today, telling me he had spoken to the claims handler, and was forwarding the video and texts onto her. She said she'd speak to their insured and get back to him...

My Solicitor then emailed me back 3 mins later forwarding the email he'd received....

I hope his insurers now throw the proverbial book at him...

So, hopefully repairs will be authorised forthwith..
