Bloody door flingers

Parked my car in a massive-empty car park next to a pub and go in for a bite to eat.

Come back out - some complete prick has parked so close that you couldn't even walk between the 2 cars - let alone get out of either (I had to get in the passenger side). Anyway, they've opened the door onto my car haven't they! :x

That'll be £25 that could have been better spent elsewhere!

Had half a mind to let down their tyres... fortunately my mate was there to hold me back...

Wasn't worth going back in and picking a fight, only a dimple dent - no paint

Grrrr.... :headbang:

I would have kick their door in to make a point.

Wouldn't have made a difference, their car was an absolute wreck... Scuffed and smashed and covered in birdcrap

I feel your pain. Some twat put a new ding in #69's door within a few weeks of having the front resprayed and all the previous owners minor dings removed. I was fit to kill and now I'm living in fear of IMmie gaining her first scrape.

Still, the offenders blood won't show so badly on Imola Red...

I think, that considering you had absolute proof of the offender, as the car was still their, that you should've done something.

It can be frowned upon to suggest damage, but I think letting a tyre or 4 down would be appropriate....it will inconvenience them, just like you are going to be in getting it sorted.

Especially as there was plenty of room and they parked so close to you.

This is a massive pet hate of mine...

I had to spend over £100 fixing my dings a few years back, and i always park miles away and end bays whenever i can.

It's very annoying. I came out to my car at a wedding last weekend and noticed thisqanusajy.jpge8useru6.jpg

I'd be spitting bullets Ruby. Did you find out who it was?
I'm guessing that's the rear end of a Merc. No good?

It was a Bentley. I was livid because I was actually far forward in my spot anyway. I can't believe they never moved it forward but that reassured me that it probably wasn't high impact. Lets face it if I heard a "sound" behind me when parking my instinct would be to move forward immediately. I took millions of pics and told the hotel manager. Then consulted a friend who advised taking pics where I could see their number plate clearly up against my car. Then I moved Zara forward and thankfully all was ok so I went back to the wedding and had a drink or three.

:headbang:

Hope there was no damage ruby.

Thats def deserves air out of the tyres.

Sorry, but I too would lack the self restraint to walk away from this without some form of "thank you".

Tom, Ruby, I'd be livid in both cases, not sure how you both controlled yourselves so well. Much respect to both of you.

Pet hate of mine too, I would imagine as the car park was empty and the fact they parked so close and caused damage it was done on purpose :x There are wan**rs out there who see a nice car and do this quite happily.

My normal works car park is under water this week so using a different works car park and I always park at an end spot further over from the next parking bay, strangely I took this pic at 7am this morning :)

End of the day if someone is intent on smacking your door there is little you can do about it :x

Tim.
