Much less to go wrong and less likelihood of daft mistakes. We all make daft mistakes sometimes, often when lease expected.

Well at least I’m not alone, same thing happened to a new M3 in this week’s Grand Tour :D

Would be better if it refused to go into Drive without the fob present.
 
As convenient as the option is id never personally get in on a car, just too ocd and now senile to when it comes to the ‘did I lock the car....’ thought.
I much prefer the blip and try the handle before waking away :)
 
I’m not a fan either, much like contactless on a creditcard. Might as well dish out ten pound notes to strangers.
 
its just an option to part 'option addicts' with their cash, like toothpaste companies selling tongue scrapers....

If the car is locked and idling, no problem. At least in Canada it’s ok, can’t say if the dodgy insurance folks in the UK would like it. :D We do have to start cars to warm them quite regularly, minus 40 is a bit hard on a cold car :cry:

I turned off the “tap” function on my bank card but the folks at the credit card company said no, they won’t do that as too many people like the function. Pissed me off to say the least. :headbang:
 
I quite like the option on the Merc. If I forget to lock it and walk away it sends me a text as soon as the Bluetooth link expires and asks if I want to lock it. I click yes, it remotely locks the doors.

I keep the keys away from the car in the house. Don’t see the issue. Insurance is there for theft whether it’s house or parked elsewhere.

I get the point about being worried about who’s around your home but frankly in the UK it’s a fact of life.

OI, it made perfect sense when I thought of what I was going to write. It just did not quite translate into a sensible sentence :oops:
 
A pal of mine had comfort access on a car - he didn't know he had and ended up going back to the dealer to tell them the car didn't lock because every time he went back to check - the car was unlocked :rofl:
