Spent the last 4 hours changing, or rather trying to change the halogen bulbs on my wife's E85 after telling me there was a blown bulb.
Getting to the bulbs, easy as pie, removing high beam equally easy.....getting the sods back in, dear lord.
I now have one main beam fitted & one that for the life of me cannot get to stay in the 'mount' either one side or the other seems to engage - almost convinced something is / has been bent by previous owner.
Off to a dealer for me on Friday then, bugger! A rattling bulb for the next couple of days, alongside a 'don't use full beam' request.
Oh and after all the screwing about I realised it was a dipped that was blown, so a complete waste of time focussing in the main buggers & now future £ to get resolved.
Plus I have full on hard labour hands as a result vs the usual pristine office variety. 3 blisters, several gouges, half a dozen cuts & a weird shiny weeping rub mark.
On the plus side, the dipped were so easy....just wished I'd checked prior to assuming it was the main beam twist offs as per my old F10.
Am I being special on the main beam bulbs or are they hard work?
Mare of an evening...
