I have read on here of people glueing them in to prevent this... Personally I am not sure about that, as if they can't get it off they may just snap it, which would cause different problems...

That's what I've been told. I think the FM aerial is in the rear bumper.

Umm, i thought the FM was on the bumper, and the AM on the inner wing, and the aerial was used as a booster for both :?

FM definitely in the rear bumper, not sure about AM, however I think you're right about it being a booster for poor signal areas. Is it associated with the phone aerial too ?

CJ told me the FM aerial was in the bumper. The easy check, go unscrew the aerial and see what happens! Judging by some of the zit sized stubbies people are running, I'd say he's right. No idea if BMW uses an antennae diversity system for best reception.

There is def an aerial of some sort which i needed to disconnect when i had my rear bumper off....

Maybe put a black screw in the gap now and have the ultimate stubby

Due mostly to shoddy parentage. And a society that tells it's children that even though you failed something. I.E. Academics or sports. You are still entitled to a trophy or going on to the next grade with your mates.
