As I posted earlier this week, I had ordered an air impact wrench from the USA, as it was way cheaper than any UK supplier, by almost 50%..
So, having been watching my order status like a hawk, today it was showing as "shipping now" 48hrs AFTER I ordered it on "prime" which was annoying as hell... But to add insult to injury, upon checking my bank balance, I was over £600 down on what I should have ad in there.. Quick call to Natwest, and amazon have earmarked the funds THREE times! So I sent an email, and the response I got was "we would release any earmarked funds upto 48hrs AFTER delivery of your order" they blamed this on it being an international order
So, long story short, I cancelled the Aircat, and have just gotten off the phone to my Snap On guy...
Tomorrow, he will be dropping me off this little beauty, but in green.
A CTEU8810B it's a 3/8 drive 18v lithium job, with 230ftlb of tightening, and 325ftlb for undoing. Comes with 2 of their "monster" batteries and the protective boots for tool and batteries.
I figured that is enough for "everyday" use and as it's nice and compact I'll use it a lot more. Apparently it handles wheel bolts like they are made of chocolate.. Of course, I didn't stop there, and "had" to add a set of short and deep impact sockets to the list...
But at least it will be here tomorrow for those clutches next week...
Boys and their toys....
