BLO AIR-GT Car Dryer

I have been spending many hours on my Z4 recently trying to removing all of the swirl marks and fine scratches, and although it has been a tough job, I am now making good progress with her.

In a quest to preserve my efforts, and minimise contact with the bodywork in the future, I have invested a BLO AIR-GT Car Dryer.

First few uses and I am very impressed with the results. It only does it shift water of the body panels very quickly, it’s also good at blasting out all the water that is trapped in areas that towel drying simply cannot access.

If any body is considering one it gets a big thumbs up from me!

Think there's a few people on here who use a garden leaf blower to do the same job :D

It’s funny you should say that, because I was going to go down the same route, but after trawling through various detailing forums it turns out that you can actually do more damage with a leaf blower due to the lack of filtered air, sharp edges etc. Plus I have no use for a leaf blower what so ever, so a dedicated car dryer made more sense to me (and I liked the colour)

Looks almost identical!

Not that I need one, I just get the neighbour to lean over the fence and talk to me. The hot air gets the car dry in seconds.

Leaf blower too big and unwieldy. I’ve been using a pet drier for a couple of years which cost me about £20. Does a great job...I wouldn’t be without it. I did fit a 5m mains lead on it though, was far too short before.

Cheers mate, something else I don’t need that I’m now 🤔........ might be a silly question but do you use this with the heater element on or is it just the air that dispels the water?

Great, cheers

I have one of these pet driers from the days when we had a Golden Retriever. It blows only cold air but quite powerfully and works well. There is no need for a heating element.

The eBay link looks like the one I bought a few years ago, but it cost more than that. It was recommended by an enthusiastic car detailer. It blows hot or cold and is really useful for those areas where water accumulates and only appears 5 minutes after you think you have finished.

Yes I know what you mean. When you close doors and boot lids. Than if you don’t spot it there is a water mark the next day. :headbang:
