It's days like today when it all becomes worthwhile. Had to see a client this morning, so brought the zed out of its den, gave it a quick dust over, then it was roof down and away. Took the scenic route back, over the Brecon Beacons. Much roof-down hooning ensued....

When it's not piddling down with rain I live in a rather picturesque part of the world.... :driving:

Ooooh, that road looks very tempting
Oh yes. The only thing you've got to watch is the sheep... they're not well-up with the Highway Code...

That road looks very "Swiss Alps" fun :D
It is... the Top Gear guys use that stretch from time to time for that reason! Further along the road, just over the brow of the hill, there are a few nice hairpins to get your teeth into!

Looks lovely... Makes me wish I hadn't chosen to move so far south and east... All you'd be able to see round here would be hedgerows :x

Lucky man, lovely pics

Yeah, that's a good road, but I wrote my last car off driving in the wet in Dec. It was a Yaris T-Sport 1.5 and ended up on top of a dry stone wall with a cracked alloy wheel, bent rear axle and twisted chassis. No airbag went off tho.

Yeah... I wouldn't fancy taking the car over the top of the mountains in the Winter. It gets pretty bleak up there!

Please tell me where this is...... a nice piece of bliss would be welcomed
It's a stretch of road which runs between the A470 Heads of the Valleys road near Rassau towards Llangynydr and Bwlch. When you get to the top, the view is towards the Brecon Beacons. There are at least a half a dozen other great roads in the area... great on a clear day!
