Really?! That's bizarre
I would have thought the more sensible option would be to allocate majority of stock with the standard colours and trims and then the dealer would manually change the spec on say half a dozen to 'spec them up' so to speak, with sporty and tech extras. So that then they have majority that can be easily sold as unoffensive and then some that are 'exclusive' for more discerning customers. That way they avoid having some absolute lemons that no-one would buy in a month of Sundays and they can't shift!![]()
