Bleeding brakes after fitting refurb pump

I believe the proceedure is, if using presurised one man bleeder and ISTA+:

Pressurise to 20psi
Open right rear nipple, operate ABS pump for 5 seconds.
Close when free of bubbles.
Repeat for left rear, then front right, front left.

Does the brake pedal need to be operated too?

Does the ABS pump need to be run for longer?

Is there some other option in ISTA+ for doing this, other than the operate pump function?
