Looks nice, strange setup for the filter but looks to be nicely made from the pics. 8)
no idea if you'll be able to use the adaptors from the original airbox or whether you'll need some silicon tubing to do that job. Fwiw the evolve box comes with straight silicon tubing and 12 hefty jubilee clips-that lot weighs considerably more then the airbox and filter combined!
The mounting and unmounting isn't too hard but it's a bit fiddly getting to some of the fixings under the box. One in particular at the front of the box was a bit of a pig for me simply as access was limited and I doubt it had ever come off before. Came off much easier the second time.
Will epic review and update the tune after a period of running it even without additional mods? I was looking at the ttfs tune at one point and I really liked their data logging program that allowed them to evaluate and then customise the tune to make sure all was optimised. Have to say, I quite like that option in the absence of a live tune on a dyno/road.
Edit: just to add, the ID of the tubing I've got here is 55/56 mm and the jubilee clips are 55-70mm size 3. I think the original connectors step down in size and have a threaded section to attatch to the original airbox. I seem to remember the threaded bits being removable but don't quote me on that!

Thks Beanie, mate from those figures id recon it may be a straight bolt on, as I measured the manifolds on the box and then are 55mm.. well on my crappy measure tape anyways, so no doubt they would be 55-56mm.. that's what I am hoping for anyways..
Randy is a pretty good guy, and I am sure that if I have any issues at all he will re-compile/tune.

As I remember, and it's been a while since I had the original airbox off, the smaller fitting should be for an oil drain back to the sump and I think the larger one is part of the idle valve piping but I'm not entirely sure on this. I think I'll be bending mine too as the CSL dipstick which requires removing half the airbox to get to, or in your case, the entire thing seems a backwards step.
Honestly, I'd be surprised if you don't need some tubing between the ITB's and airbox. As my tubing is straight then I assume the OD on the throttle bodies is 55mm or so. If your airbox ports are the same measure then I can't see how they would fit together. I might be missing something here? Any chance you can contact the maker of the box to see what they recommend or say about it?
As for the air temp sensor, does your box not have a fitting for it? I guess a truer reading would mean putting it somewhere closer to the bodies which I think is where the csl has it but plenty of people relocate it closer to the intake opening to avoid heatsoak in the sensor. tbh I'd probably ask randy what he thinks but I can't see it causing much harm locating it anywhere within the structure of the box as I don't imagine that the temp difference from the opening to the outlets will be significantly different when you're moving. That said, I don't think I'd put it at the back of the engine as it's more likely to retain any heat there.

Fwiw, I think evolve did some testing on their air temp relocation kit with regards to retained heat in the sensor. I'm sure I've seen it on one of the forums before, possibly on an m3 based one though. Might be worth a bit of reading if your deciding where to mount it

I have it on my car with the Evolve airbox. Great guy and easy to deal with too.yep, locating temp sensor as close to the filter as possible, and as far away from the engine.
Hmm.. not sure if I will do the install my self now or if ill let my shop do it.. if I do need tubing, ill be stuck at home for a week or so while stuff comes in...
