Hey, had 'the beast' (housemates words) for 5 months now and have a few updated bits.

Eibachs went on this week, nice noticeable drop, ride is still great, but wow it's really sharpened up the handling no end. Have come from a 172 cup on eibachs so that was a chuck able little thing, and have spent all weekend flinging this around, just feels so planted etc!

One rear spring found to be broken, which won't surprise anyone! Should I have been able to feel this somehow, or would there be any tell tale signs? It still cornered fairly well...

The downside is I have been catching speed bumps that never troubled me in the slightest before. I know they don't offer a huge drop but I think it's perfect for me.

Next up, light smoke window tints to continue the dark theme! H&S exhaust quoted for but will have to save for a bit I think!

That looks insanely low!!! Are you sure you got the right springs? Your rear wheels are tucked!

I've come from Clio's also, the zed's a great upgrade.

Lovely spec you've got there though, facelift black with red sports seats. Awesome.

Thanks man, I keep my cars for years and had lots of fun and massive reliability from the 172, looking forward to a good few years with the zed!

I went to look at it, saw the seats (black and red, even better!) and just knew I was gonna have it.

First pic on the flat looks fine - just like mine in fact :D

Get some 20mm spacers on the back and it will look perfect. I have 20 on the back and 15 on the front and I love how it looks. Be a good idea to get a four wheel alignment done now too.

I love the stealth look myself. But then again you probably guessed that! :D

Mine on a slop also looks that low.

But maybe a placebo but after i got mine lowered as soon as a sat in the car for the first time it felt lower!

Also my poor car get caught out on atleast 50% of the speed bumps i go over :(

Mine still feels very low, not a placebo at all. Looks really low too - it's amazing what a 15-20cm drop does, just looks ready to pounce all the time 8)

Go sloooooooooooooow over the bumps :poke:

Fronts do. Passenger very little, drivers more so. Many people say they get no rubbing at all on Eibachs so I've come to the conclusion it's a combination of three things - the driver's wing has been repaired in the past and I reckon it's a few mm out of true alignment, the springs were second-hand, and possibly my weight on that side

my 19's have a 235/35 profile tyre with an ET40 offset and i get no rubbing.

With my 108's on full lock i can even just about squeeze my finger between the tyre and the wheel plastics... I always thought my M brake ducts made my wheel well plastics stick out even more... but maybe they infact pull it in a little...

So your rubbing answer... get and M front bumper :fuelfire:
