I've just tried to reply to a post from my iPhone and it's given me the message that the IP address is blacklisted?

This message has worked ok - I'm confused?
 
Short version - interwebs magic ;)

Slightly descriptive short version - An 'IP address' is a unique(ish) destination on the internet, you need one for the internet to work. DHCP is a way of telling a device what IP address it should use.
 
After a re start it seems to be ok - I was replying to Maniacs post and it all went belly up.

I was using the iPhone over the phone data and not my wi fi

After a re start its ok - do I need to worry?
 
An ip address has to be involved at some point else the internet don't work... this is fact of internet workings.

Certain IP addresses or ranges have been banned due to spammers using them, which we don't do any more but there is still the odd one.

If it happens again or to anyone else just reboot the router or phone.

Thanks for the advice - all sorts of thoughts of viruses etc were floating about.
I'm glad that the panic reboot has proven to be the right course to have taken!
