Blacked out rear lights!!

Tinted fronts and rears, surely this is illegal on this car for sale on autotrader:

Interesting...
Admittedly I haven't read all of this thread but just made me wonder that this defeats the purpose of having lights, no?

I think it depends.. There is this material/ laminate that has tiny holes in (cant remember the name) that wont affect the light output by as much as expected considering they can look completly black/ blue etc.

But still looks s**t!! Esp on an otherwise stock car!

^ I just don't get the guy on Autotrader.

Apart from whether you like blackening out your lights or not, why would you want to black out the rears, but not the 3rd brake light and black out the fronts, but not the - probably foggy on the inside anyway - fog lights?

Called 'Flyeyes', had them on my TT and never had any problems with the MOT.

For me its personal choice, I like the blacked out rear lights.

I quite like the look actually! I think the OP's is a little dark for my liking though. I did mine today with 3 light coats of smoke spray.

Think it goes well with the black and white carbon badges too :D

This used Lamin-x on mine today. Really easy to install and I'm really happy with the result. Might not look great on light coloured cars but on dark coloured ones I think it does.

Looks good seanodwyer,
Thanks dude. It's actually the Second time I've put Lamin-x on. The first time I had the lightest tint. I read a post about taking tote French fries off on here and did so one night. Woke up the next day to realise that the part behind the French fry was not tinted!!! So I decided to remove and put a darker tint on (gun smoke)
