Blackcircles Complaint - Advice Sought.

On Friday 7th August our coupe was booked in with our local fitting centre to have a new set of Goodyear F1 asymetric's fitted via Blackcircles (this after they lost the two front tyres earlier in the week).
When my wife collected the car on the Friday evening she found that the fitting garage had damaged finish on the front wheel arms (Wheel style 203) and subsequently after she returned home I found after cleaning all of the fitting debris away that they had also damaged the rear left wheel as well.
The fitting garage said that it was flaking paint and not their fault. The wheels were only refurbished in March having been acid stripped, shot blasted and then podwer coated by Project Wheelz in Stourbridge.
I immediately phoned Black circles who advised me to send pictures of the damage and they would investigate the matter and would I please allow 7 days for a response.
Today I received the response which was could I please take the car back to the original garage for them to inspect the damage. Why has it taken a week to come up with such a response?
Any way has any body else had a similar experience and can advise on how to proceed or has any body any relevant advice as the best way to proceed with this.
Many thanks.

Go armed with 'recent' pictures if you have them and bills ect from the refurb. They should play ball but if not threaten small claims blah blah blah and see how it goes.

After a couple of weeks now and many emails too and from the customer support people at Blackcircles, they have agreed to pay for the refurbishment of the wheels which were damaged by one of their fitting centres (Protyre in Alcester, Warwickshire). :D .
It has to be said that the people at Blackcircles have been excellent if not a little slow at times in their responses, unlike the complete moron who is the manager at Protyre. I had to go back there with the car so that he could inspect the damage that he caused. Although he could remember that he didn't damage the wheels he couldn't remember that he fitted all four new tyres and thought that they had only fitted the fronts. :?
Any way the one thing that I have learnt from this experience is that I will always photograph the car or items relevant on the car that are to be repaired at whatever garage upon arrival on the forecourt so that they are time and date stamped.

Thanks by the way to Simon for your original reply.
