BLackbushe Airport

Me and a Z4 mate went to this place yesterday morning, despite the damp conditions managed to stumble across a GT86 meet along with a BMW Supra, GTR, Corvette and a few other spicy machines. Cafe is great and is quite cool watching the rickety little planes taking off in the wind

Anyway, a good little venue which is bookable as well. Worth maybe thinking about in future when the weather improves.

2 minutes from me, some good roads around there as well, not been there since they did up the cafe

Just watch they don't auction your car off when you walk away! :D

They have a classic car meet every month on the last Sunday too.

I've been a few times and met a few other Z4 owners there. Given the ongoing mess at the A3/M25 junction maybe it would be a better event to tag along to than the Black Swan in Ockham?

Black Swan meets are off until further notice arent they?

According to their Facebook page the next one will be on 11 February, so it looks like they are still happening.

But I'm going to give them a miss for now as I can't avoid those roadworks. :(

Havent had the pleasure of the roadworks yet, what direction are they causing problems? I come down the A3 from London towards that junction.

Coming off the A3 in either direction is a problem. Going straight through is usually OK. Slightly less bad coming from London, as there’s less chance of getting stuck in the wrong lane on the junction itself. Avoid, if you can.

The Black Swan meets are on now that the weather is starting to improve re the grass area , but watch there Facebook page each month.

M3 to M25 won't help you much, because you'll need to queue on the M25 exit slip-road to get onto the Southbound A3 slip-road to get to Old Lane, which is the problem I currently have. :(

And then when you leave you have to get onto the A3 to the Ripley turn-off to get back to the A3 Northbound.

If you left the A3 at the Cobham turn-off you could get to Ockham Lane (the lane the car park entrance is in) from the other end, but it means going through Cobham village!
