Black Z4M wheels on Black Coupe ... Fitted!!

Yeah do I'll get some up but I do sort of agree the difference is minimal in pictures but in the real, a beautiful touch.
If I hadn't got mine so cheap I probably couldn't have justified it.

Thanks, would like to see some better pics and then I can see how I feel about them..

I hate being wrong, but the black wheels do suit your black coupe!

Thanks Peddy.. I've surprised myself as I thought it would need the rim tape to break it up.

JDM, not the greatest pictures and I know they don't help my case

Aero skirts will barely be seen on a black car in pictures, but I'd say it's a worthwhile investment for you JDM.

Ok so I had the tyres fitted yesterday and spent a good portion of yesterday afternoon fitting the winter wheels and taking off the summers and cleaning thoroughly before putting them to bed for the winter.

With them fitted to the car I think I'm going to leave the yellow tape off, for the time being at least anyway. I think the black on black looks really well and I have surprised just about everyone who has seen it with a "jesus I didnt expect it to look that good" kind of remark :D

Only thing bugging me slightly is that the front wheels sit quite far in compared to the rears and also compared to my summer wheels. This can be sorted with spacers though so I may go down that route?... Oh and I need to paint the balancing weights black :)

So, let me know what you all think.. :D

Thanks

JDM what size are your tyres? I've just picked up some 224s and they have 225/45 on the front and 255/40 on the rears - conti sport contact m3s....they seem huge!!

Hi mate the profile on the standard M tyres were too large as my car has been lowered (although I think it will still rub on standard suspension).

Bought new winter tyres 225x40x18 (front) and 255x35x18 (rears).

OP looks GREAT i prefur these to your summer setup, i think the car looks miles better :driving:

Cheers Beedub.. A lot of people on here have said the same thing. Personally I like both and its nice to have a different look for summer and winter :D

If you ever sell this car, PLEASE tell me first  I WANT IT!

If I could think of the purrrfect Z4, this would be it :)

The only cherry on the top would be if it was an 'M' but tbh that would be too expensive to maintain/run etc so probably not!

Bet you're a very happy chappy with this :P

PS - Don't buy that outfit tho..... :!:

Oh and considering you're an avid Coupe man, why is your avatar of you in a convertible??? :poke:

Thanks Wood7y.

It means alot when I get comments such as yours. I mean I too think it looks great but Im very biased so when other people think so to then it makes all the effort and money spent worthwhile :).

If I ever decide to sell it (and it gets tempting when there's some lovely M's up for silly money) then I will let you know. Although as you say it's the running of the M's that scares people off and the reason why I bought this in the first place :)

Im wondering how many of us has noticed newly purchased z4ms being sold on again so quickly :-)

i find it a very expensive car to run..... Not far off gtr ownership and thats saying something........... Still think as a dd the 3.0 is a much better prospect without the headaches... When the ///m goes wrong, its going to cost biggg tiimmee.. As a weekend toy its as good as it gets.
