The time has come to get this posted...

I have had the car for just under 3 years and it has been a pleasure to own, I don't think I need to explain to the people on this forum what a joy the N52b30 is in this car, the way it pulls from low in the rpm range is just lovely. Obviously no one is going to downplay the car they are trying to sell, but I really have loved this car and have been going back and forth over keeping or selling.

So why am I selling? Practicality and cost reasons. We had a baby last year, so on my drive is the wife's car, my z4 and a practical x5. They don't fit and neither of us can park any of the cars in one go. For me, two insurances, MoTs, services etc. at different times of the year on two old cars is just a bit too much. I'm going to be looking at a g30 5 series to replace both cars if anyone is interested :) .

Spec & Info:
- Black
- Just over 90k miles (90682), will go up slightly as driven 2-3 times a week
- MOT till Aug 2025, can get it redone if that helps
- Good service history including a full service in 2023
- 18 inch Ferric grey MV3 wheels one chip on one wheel (I do have original 108s that I'm happy to see go with the car, not in good condition though) - these have had an alignment with the current tyres on and the car feels great
- M Sport seats - Heated black leather Electric with Driver Memory in good condition
- Piano Black trim
- Bi-Xenon headlights.
- Wind deflector
- Stubby aerial
- Roof motor relocated
- Bushings and other parts replaced 2 years ago (Poly ARB & RTABs, new front control arms, rods etc.)
- 2 services and clean MOTs under my ownership (purchased summer 2022, MOT history is almost immaculate OE06ETO)
- Eagle F1 tyres in good condition
- De badged
- All original log books etc.
- 2 keys

I don't think there's anything I have missed but if I recall I will update. Looking through this and the MOT history, I'm actually surprised as I had forgotten how well this car has been kept. I hope whoever ends up with this car keeps this up, I will check the MOT history in the future!

Couple of not great bits for honesty:
- Rear view mirror has a "leak" so may need replacing (not leaking but a bit harder to see, I purchased the car like it and it hasn't got worse)
- When warm and mostly when parking on a hill, when the car is in neutral with foot off the clutch, there is a slight rattle, which is apparently normal. I have done quite a lot of research and have found a few posts on these forums calling it flywheel chatter, everything with the shifts etc. feels good and the sound isn't there on start up so with the information in the posts I don't believe there is an issue, but I want to be as honest as possible and don't want it to be a surprise if someone comes to view the car. I have found it a bit difficult to price this car up, they seem to be quite rare on the forum and on Autotrader the numbers are a bit crazy (8k for similar milage & specs). Taking the rest of my post in to account I am going to price it at £6000. I am located in West Sussex.

Please do message either here or PM for any questions, happy to discuss reasonable offers and please do point out anything I have missed.

About time you update your sig, speaking about keeping up at the back :poke:

To the OP - an X5 and Z4 is a perfect combo though, I have had one with every X5 I have had (E53 / E70 and F85)

I sat back and thought there’s not one thing, not one, that that bloody Dutch sort can come back at me for that…..and damn me if he doesn’t find one…. :x

It's a shame you are having to part with your Z4, but sometimes practicality gets in the way. :(

That looks like a great car for a very reasonable price so GLWTS.

It might be worth highlighting any of the desirable features like M-Sport seats, Piano Black trim and Bi-Xenon headlights.

Nice looking car, beginning to wonder if any are actually in Scotland, let alone for sale. I’m sure it will be snapped up.

Thanks for the positive feedback!

Updated the post again with the highlights added.

Regarding X5 and Z4, they are a good combo but both being a bit old doesn't help and with with the baby around the z4 is the first to go. I'm ready for something else. One newish car that I can drive in with ease.

Hi guys, I originally posted a link to a report of this vehicle being Cat-D. Seems like this was an error and Autotrader has resolved it on their system. Feel free to do your own reports but it seems like this was just an anomaly in this case.

Not intentionally and I'm not sure why that comes up as cat D. I have done independent checks recently on a car vertical type site that don't have any cat D ticks.

Happy to post the report later.

Sure, happy for anyone to post anything, and if you have evidence to the contrary then that’s cool… just need the whole process to be transparent. That was the autotrader check btw.

If it does turn out to be a mistake it’ll need rectifying as it will affect the future (and current) value of the car.

I would always suggest for anyone to do proper checks before buying, and hopefully it's obvious I'm not trying to hide anything in my post. Here's the report from V check:

Will look to get it rectified, thank you for pointing it out.

Edit: I have contacted Autotrader about this, hopefully the turn around is quick.

Ok, looks like they got round to removing it pretty quickly:

Are you ok to confirm from your side and then if happy remove the image with the cat D? A shame it had that at all really, possibly already put off potential buyers but I blame AT for that.

I have edited the post above to clarify. Pretty sure if there are any interested parties on here they will still be interested now it is resolved.

If you're interested in the car but live far from West Sussex, I'm happy to check it out for a club member for free. I have a code reader and can take detailed photos and videos if the seller agrees.

Thank you. Yea you're right.

I will leave my v check report there but still recommend those interested to do their own up to date checks.

Yes of course, thank you for that.

I used my code reader and had no errors a few weeks ago but I'm happy for someone to confirm.
