Black/ white/ carbon fibre badges all 8!

Time will be looming soon to have my wheels refurbed and the badges need replacing. I know there are lots of threads on here but no one really reposts what they are like after a year on the car.

My last replaced wheel caps weren't the best so...............................

I'm looking to replace all the wheel badges, indicator badges and boot/ bonnet badges.

The car is Sterling Grey so as per my previous wheel badges I thought the black/ white/ carbon fibre looked good!

Any pointers in a trusted and used experience?

TIA

Cheap sets off eBay will last a couple of years. Replace then. £10 will get you a set, plus you need to buy 2 other bonnet badges for the side indicators. There was no full sets when I looked

Hi Jock, will be interested to see your wheels when they're done. Val's new Z could do with them being refurbed at some point.
Have you got somewhere local?

I picked up a brochure from a company called East Anglia Smart Repair

www.eastangliasmartrepair.co.uk and they come to yours and do it all. I've never used them them so can't comment.

However I have been told by various people to use www.swalloys.co.uk who are 2 minutes drive from Busseys (Ford Garage) in Norwich.

Works out at £60 a wheel Inc. VAT to repair/ straighten and repaint/ powder coat. But you have to leave the car with them for a couple of days.

I'll keep you posted on this but will probably happen mid-April once the wife gets her bedroom of dreams. By then the new bed/ mattress/ carpet/ furniture and decorating has all been done, then I have a few quid to spunk on the car! By that time the weather will have broken.

Well I'll await your report then.
Does that include tyres off and back on again? And if so, balanced?
Just asking as Val's has a mix'n'match set at the moment; adequate but not the best. Just wondering if I should get new fitted at the same time.

I had a set of wheels done by SW Alloys a few years ago, very well done and good service. I dropped the car off and picked up later that day. Yes they did balance the wheels.
Had my Z done at Wheelcare in Bury St Eds, more costly just as good as SW, just more convenient this time around.
Good if you can time tyre replacement and refurb at the same time - I got a really good deal for a couple of tyres from My Tyres and effectively fitted for free.

Thanks. That sounds like a good plan for me then.
