Black Side Model Badge

Hullo. Has anybody bought black or blackened the side model badges, you know, the ‘sDrive35is’? There are black Z4 boot badges on eBay. Thanks. Marc.

More common over here to remove them tbh, never seen any in black, removing them gives a cleaner look to the wing

You could scuff the originals up and spray paint them black.

I took my 18i badges off the sides so not to cause embarrassment to the six pot owner that they have just been whipped by a pauper in a 4 pot

Ahem, yes, those 18i would be embarrassing. Is that what you meant?

That is usually the case!

The local body shop owner said he can do it, but not cheap. It’d be nice to find them in black. Next month I’m going to get the side indicators in black. This Zed is going to look bitchin’.

For those small badges (sdrive35i etc) I don't think you need a bodyshop. You just scuff them up with 3M scuff pad and get some plastic primer and black paint in an aerosol and spray them up. Since they are so small it shouldn't be difficult to get a good finish.

EDIT: Black side indicators look great especially on a black car
