black roll hoops..

Just thought I'd throw chrome into the mix:

IMO chrome does not suit the Z4 at all, black is best, wish I had painted my new covers before I fitted, never mind.

Our '03 3.0 is Merlot Red with a wood dash and console. The wood really 'warms up' the look of the interior, but the silver roll hoops, steering wheel spokes, and door pulls look a little cold.

I was thinking of painting the silver items to match the body colour. Does anyone know if the exterior paint would work on these plastic parts? Does BMW make a touch up paint in a spray can or would I have to have one made by an auto body shop?

I would likely purchase new parts and paint them before installation just in case I or maybe the next owner would like to go back to the original look.
