Black polish

purple haze is a wax, not a polish.... :wink:

both polishes and waxes aren't colour specific...

my fav waxes at the moment are from definitive waxes, just used their Number One and Show waxes today on my car... (pics in the detailing section)

Black Hole is a great product (technically a glaze)....but as the cueball says, products aren't really any better suited to a particular colour....just marketing crap.

As for waxes and polishes they are different products.

A polish is abrasive and will remove minor imperfections (similar to T-Cut....but never use T-Cut :wink: ). Waxes add a layer of protection.

My favourite polish is Autoglym Super Resin Poilish.
 
Poorboys black hole glaze followed by poorboys natty wax and finally a coat of meguiars ultimate quick detailer.
 
Seconded on the marketing hype.
purple haze pro is excellent though. Need to get me a full tub instead of the panel pot lol
 
For filling products I rate Auto Glym Super Resin and Poorboy's Black Hole.

For wax I use Poorboy's Nattys Paste Wax :)

Poor boys black hole gets a thumbsup from me. Also megs 3 step (which is a lot of effort but worth it)

That's right, but SRP also contains some filling properties.

But the general order would be:

Wash
Dry
Clay
Polish
Glaze
Wax / Seal
 
That is validating, StevenH72, thanks for confirming! - that was my order list as well having read shedloads on that subject.

As soon as I get 24hrs free: wash, clay (bilt hamber medium, just add water), AG SRP at least once, Black Hole at least once, Poor boys EXP selant at least once and Purple Haze at least once. CYC DAS6Pro at the ready, green Hexlogic for the polishing and softer colours for the rest (I think red, black and blue are the others). I glean that BMW paint is quite hard so a little concerned that I might need orange pads potentially - but let's see what a double pass with the green pads does first...

I said 24 hrs. Could be 48 if I do the double pass at each stage!
