Hi Guys,
Going to get round to doing my AE's soon and rather than try to source clear hockeys (which seem to be as rare as hens teeth) I was going to use the same smoke tint on them as I did with the rear lights and side indicators.
As my Bi-Colour rims are silver/black and car is Sterling Grey I'm still in two minds if I should spray the inner surrounds black (which I think will better suit the overall look) or leave them silver. I think the deciding factor will be if spraying them black affects the light spread (as we all know Z4 headlights aren't brilliant at the best of times) so my questions to all the guys who have carried out the AE mod and sprayed inners black is has that affected the brightness of the lights in any way?
Also if you feel doesn't affect the brightness, what type of black spray did you use as I'm pretty sure normal spray paint will deteriorate over time with the heat HiD's give off and I have no intention of opening them again.
Thanks,
Billy
