Back from Dubai, sorry the engine bay is a bit grotty, I've been driving my baby.
I didn't get a chance to upload any photos of my last MOD, OEM strut brace painted black, I hope you like.

Always thought it looked a bit weird with one silver brace - not yours, just generally :D
 
Interesting idea... looks great, more OEM than the chrome. Might have to think about this myself! :thumbsup:

I'm no expert but it does feel a little sharper in the corners. I thought I wouldn't notice the difference but there is definately something better about the drive.
 
I would imagine it must make the front end a lot stiffer (god that sounds rude) so front end turn in should feel crisper. It definitely looks OEM. :thumbsup:
 
I was also curious as to whether it would make a difference in the handling. which it does.
 
is there a reason behind why these are never fitted as OEM? Its always baffled me why something simple as a brace that makes a a different isn't already fitted to a sports car in the first place. Love the OEM look.

Wow really? I would have thought in terms of the overall car its an inexpensive piece of kit that always adds improvement are these cross braces made from something different than say the bar that runs under the engine (sump protection i think?)
 
Yeah but why make it for relatively little production cost and put it on the car for free when you could call it an 'upgrade sports part' etc and charge £££££££ for it!

Genuine vauxhall astra rear lights were £25 for the lens in the clear and £55 for the tinted black ones.... i dont believe that the tinting cost £30!

I hate being a pesamist!

Ah right, so this is available from bmw in the catalogue, didn't realise that always thought it was aftermarket method of stiffening things up... makes sense.
