Started the hunt for Zed #17 and it looks like my journey will likely come full circle and see me back in an E86 - not the full fat ///M version I started with but the 3.0Si.

Anyhoo I've been playing about with the vindecoder as you do and found out that only 51 cars (34 coupe's and 17 roadster's) were produced for the UK market with the black New England leather option LBSW.

So I appreciate it's a long shot but is there anyone on the forum with this option that can share a photo so I can understand how it differs to the more mainstream Oregon leather option LASW

They have a smooth grain leather and have an extra detailed leather strip on the back rest.

Oregon leather comes from Oregon and New England leather comes from New England in the States.

Very nice - I like the additional detail in the back panel and wonder if they wear better than the Oregon leather equivalent

The seats I had in the Z4MC were Nappa leather and to say the car had done over 100k looked fantastic - the fact they were Amarone was also a bonus :driving:

No idea if the wear is reduced.

This isn't the best picture but it does show the grain difference between oregon and new england leather:

Pre-facelift cars when they had the New England option ticked came with full leather door cards and leather windscreen surround/sunvisors. Be interesting to know if that was also included on the facelift cars.

My 2007 coupe has the black New England option which comes with full door cards and sun visors. Was a decent value upgrade at the time and I viewed the full leather doors as being a better deal than nappa seats only (which weren’t much less than the NE option). Nappa is ultimately a nicer leather though.
