Hi Guys,

Next week I've booked in my zed to have all wheels completely refurbished and sprayed gloss black. Not sure what the outcome will be.
Hope it looks good but i'm a bit nervous.

I cant find any pictures of black mv2s so i don't think this has been done before!?

Guy up the road from me has a black Z4MR and recently had the wheels finished in black. IMHO opinion it looks a bit spazzy, too much black going on. Of course if we all like the same thing the world would be a boring place!

I'm getting them done by The Wheel Specialist in Fareham. Costing £330. For complete strip and repainted in black. Their work looks good so I'm looking forward to it.
I see what you mean Tref i think it will make it look mean as hell.

Dont supposed you have any pics of that z4mr?

Love these black csl's :D

No sorry, no pics - and its a hike up the road so I'm not going :) I did notice they were matt black as I passed earlier today though.

ell_p, sounds good, maybe matt black will look a bit meaner than gloss though. Those black CSLs look good thouogh, whose car is that, someone on here?

Problem with black wheels is the tyres need to be kept 100% clean and tyre-glossed otherwise it looks really naff.

Imho, antracite dark grey is a better alternative for cars because tyres will tend to always look darker/blacker.

Yep..... the phoenix yellow coupe looks purposeful, the lack of tyre shine does not detract from the overall sense of occasion on such a car.

Look forward to the pics and if was me i would black out the front end black grill clear headlights with the black background and black out the reflectors on the bumper real stealth look

Was thinking the very same thing will need to keep the tyres dressed regularly

yeah i see what you guys are saying. I think the high gloss colour will look fresh as its quite shiney. These porsche wheels are the same.

Nice to see no one thinks i'm completely mad but at the end of the day I can always change them back to silver but i really fancy a change.
Never thought about the tyres but I'm forever cleaning my car so the tyres are always dressed so it should set the wheels off a treat.
As for the yellow zed not sure who it belongs to I just came across it on the search engine looks cool though.

GAZA62 i have dark tints all the way around and the black grill so hopefully it will all go quite nicely. Quite excited now!!

Those Porsche rims look superb i take it thats the same finish you are aiming for will look great on a blacked out Z

Nooooooo! Someone else with a Phoenix Yellow non M Coupe! I thought i was the only Yellow Coupe in the village. It even has the full Individual yellow and black interior like mine too. Gutted.

Who's car is this one? The only reason i ask is that the picture in 'ell_p' profile is different.
