Last year we had tried to organise a new year run and this had needed to be cancelled due to ice on the roads a couple of times - we eventually got out at the end of February!
This year's the same (we haven't organised an early year run due to the weather) and the black ice has kept us off the back roads again. Some of the fields look like swimming pools due to the heavy rain and the recent heavy frosts overnight have made some roads lethal.
Runs just restricted to main roads/routes with a visit to our favourite cafes. We are all watching the weather very carefully up here. . .
