Black ice crash (update)

I'd definitely try and get a separate quote and get a list of parts

I've recently had to get a rear drive shaft and been in touch with a few breakers, very helpful and miles cheaper than the stealers....

Nearly £600 from bmw, managed to get one for just over £100 delivered from a low mileage donor.

Once you've got a rough idea of what's needed try -

Update

Just spoke to repairer the insurance authoritied the repairs on Friday, should get it back by the end of the week!!

Really glad, didn't want to replace it just yet, wanted at least one more summer out of it also inspection 2 was just completed a few months ago.

I was a bit nervous though have a few clio 200's saved on my autotrader in case it was a write off

It'll still cost me my £550 excess and more expensive insurance for a few years but it'll be fixed to a high standard with no real hassle to myself

Is a cars value significantly diminished after a bump which only requires things like panels and lights to be replaced?

I'm glad all of you pessimistic guys were wrong haha

Man, that sucks. Back in September, I hit a sheet of plywood on the interstate in Atlanta. Banged up the front pretty bad but not as bad as yours. Total insurance cost was $3000.00. Some of the underling plastic parts are crazy expensive. I cannot remember the name of it, but there is a shroud of sorts between the wheel well and the bumper guard that is north of $200 and it's not very big. The head lights are expensive too. I had to have entire bumper replaced, fog lights, wheel wells covers and various shrouds replaced. All because some idiot in a truck did not secure his load.

Hope you get it all sorted out.
