Anyone got the all black grilles? if so what they like, want to get some, but on Bmw website it says they high gloss

I think they look quite nice in the picture. I already found 2 tiny stone chips on my chrome grilles after just 500 miles when I washed it today.

The grills are nice. Makes the car look more aggressive. The vertical bars are matte black with the surrounding outline in high gloss black.

Before install - You can see the matte vs gloss

I'm sure it will be off-bumper job.
Someone has done it on here somewhere. Not bumper off just held in with clips that push out from behind.... I think if I remember

Yep correct. No need to remove bumper. There are clips that you need to unclip then just pull it off. It's kind of tricky if you have big/fat hands like me since you have to reach through the grills. I got tired of trying so I let me tech do it. Took him about 15 mins.

Any chance of a pic of them installed?

We need pics :D

Just phoned my local dealer, and as typical never have parts for the e89 in stock. They want me to go down and pay for them before i see them. :(

Here are a few threads from bimmerpost - e89.zpost. Some pics will not show the grills properly. It just looks like black blob. But in reality you can actually see the black vertical bars. Looks great IMO.

My thread with new wheels and shadowline grills installed. Scroll through to see mounted pics - http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=378416

Z4 with 3d design. Scroll through this whole thread as pics are spread out. Pics here are the truest representation of what the shadowline grills look like IMO - http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=364161

Space grey with few minor mods - http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=384558

How to install + a pic with AW - http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=334219&highlight=grill

Hope this helps

Thanks for that. They look good on your car. Think they look a bit washed out on my sapphire black car though. Wheels are nice. CSL reps?

I like the rear diffuser and quad pipes on this:

Cheers Breaker. Yes they are CSL reps - Alufelgen CS-7

I too think that the shadowline grill will look washed out on a black car unless you go with a blacked out theme like I did to make it more aggressive. Otherwise with OEM wheels I would keep the silver grills as you have on your 35i. Looks classy and original.

That's a 3d rear diffuser and eisenmann quad exhaust system. The set up looks good but I don't see myself putting a quad system. Quads should stay on ///M cars IMO. I'll probably look into putting their 2x90 system in the future.
