Black grill

I'm thinking of changing the kidney grills on my car, from grey to black as I think it looks a bit better on a black car.

What years/specs had the black grills? or does someone know the part number already?

A rough price would be usefull too

You need the grille from anything other than a 3.0 - the trim is always chrome on all of them though.

According to the 2003 brochure that Wondermike posted a while ago, the 3.0 litre only came with graphite grills. It says black was not available as an option. Does that mean that the smaller engine sizes were the ones with black?

thats what I wanted, black with a chrome lip, all black would have been too obvious.

Think I prefer black myself, and also no chrome like this, but even with chrome is still looks good. Suppose you just want a change.

Well I popped into the dealership as I was passing this afternoon....

Just under £75 for the pair :thumbsdown:
It's not that I can't afford that but I refuse to pay so much for such a simple item :x

I like the darker look too -

2003 thru 2005, the 2.5 engine had the matte black grill with chrome surround. The 3.0 had a "argent" silver paint grill with chrome surround.

I kept my 3.0 grill and took a 2.5 Black grill I bought off ebay and painted the chrome flat black too - thus an all black grill -

Of course I couldn't stop there - tinted headlights, black and white roundel and black painted reflector. Later tinted windows.

A little "meaner" look I think!

It is great that we can add small changes to to these cars to personalize them!
