Black grill pic

I've been wondering about the rear as well, but the bar blends into the exhaust surround a bit too well, without an obvious hard edge, like at the front. You'll see what I mean when you look, as it's hard to explain.

I still like the carbon fibre ACS rear diffuser, so I'm holding out for that I think...

Ummm.. here you go. Forget the spoiler, or the exhausts etc, just the exhaust surround and diffuser is the bit i'm after.. :)

Bit pricey though - about 900 when I last checked, and that was before the recent round of price rises/exchange rate fluctuations!

Have decided to go ahead with this. Ordered some black grills for the front. I'm exploring if I can get the front rail and rear rail vinyl wrapped. If it's similar cost to painting then I'll do that. Otherwise I'll get them painted matt or satin finish.

Then I'll have a look at the alloys. Black is the obvious choice but i'm leaningtowards a dark shadow gold or silver effect.

did mine last year as well, plastic primer, satin spray and can of lacquer!! transformed the front in my opinion!! (only had to touch in a few stone chips last week!)

heres a before and after...

Watching this with interest John :)

I've had a play with more sticky back plastic and tape to see what I can do to the rear. Two alternatives, well three really cos I could do nothing! Let me know your comments good or bad?

First thoughts. Prefer the full monty! Follows a distinct line and makes the exhausts look like a battery of Bazookas! :) Think I like...

I agree, I really like that look!

Out of the 2 the full one looks better to me but to be honest i dont really like either that much...

Slight OT, is the border to your plates part of the plate or are they plate holders? Where di you get the plates / plate holders from?

Think i either prefer it without any or with the whole bottom bit done.

Plate holder was from tinternet. Only £10 from what I remember. Can't recall the site but if you Google registration plate holders it'll turn up.

Ooh.. good work! :D

Out of the two, the full version works best for me, but then at the same time I'm disappointed with the overall effect. Don't think it has the same impact as the front bumper modification IMO...

I don't know fellas.

I have an imola ///M roadster too, and I really liked the blacked out front. I bought some tape and did it myself this weekend to see how it would look. For the love of all that is class, do not do this and leave it on the car lol. I smoothed it all out so there were no bubbles/lines, and it still looked like complete garbage. You simply MUST paint these sections if you desire to complete the look. No harm no foul though, I simply removed my short lived black chin spoiler. :D

I totally disagree on the rear blacking out however, I think it looks really bad. Front looked decent imho, but I don't think it's worth the $$$ it would cost to paint it professionally. I might have it done if I ever need the front bumper resprayed because of rock chips tho.

That's when i had mine done. The car was in having the front bumper painted over Xmas to get rid of stone/rock chips, and I had the lower bar/rail painted at that point. It has suffered from stone-chipping worse than the white sections (or it's just more visable being black, more likely), so I'm considering getting it professionally "wrapped" in vinyl by a sign-writer, as this will be more durable. I imagine they should be able to get a perfect finish...

looks like wrapping with vinyl will be cheapest. Quoted £75. Advantage is I can take it off again if I don't like it  Company in Southport will do it.
