While the prices may be good I can't do with all this argy bargy malarkey in store.

Ditto. Showing our age Maniac. Again

Even apple have decent reductions online... Wonder if i can get the reduced macbook pro and add the 14% student discount ontop of the reduced price?!

Even though we dont have thanksgiving here!

Although the discounts are nowhere near as good as the states... I was there over thanksgiving a few years ago and you could queue up and get 40-50% off (real not made up old prices) in places like sears and bestbuy.

At least one person dies on Black Friday each year. Stabbing, stampede, assault, blunt force trauma all common themes.

The veneer of good behavior in our society is very thin at most...

I wonder how long it'll be before some pathetic excuse for an MP tried to ban the phrase for being racist?

It's just a fad over here. They hike prices then put on a fake discount to make stuff appear cheap.

Was talking to a mate of mine who's a security guard in ASDA this morning, said he'd had to break up two or three fights, eject someone and phone the police when a man threatened to break the store manager's nose because he couldn't buy two microwaves.

Madness.

Don't fall for it!

The majority of anything remotely interesting will already be discounted in the run up to Christmas; everything else is that the retailers are trying to of load as old stock (dolphin art ironing boards, herb growing sets, sh*t socks).

It's that old formula at work - tell everybody they might miss out and they'll buy any old tat.

now...back to that ironing

To be fair £99 for a 42" HD TV or whatever it was is pretty good however you look at it...
For ASDA I think it was more take a hit on some potential profits and get the publicity etc that goes with it.

Admittedly thats not bad even if it is some generic model. Don't ASDA et al have deals like this throughout the year anyway though? Thats the point of ASDA isn't it?

i just went to Asda at lunch.. tbf the LG tv they had was £249 LG. The 32" poloroid was £99.

Both are a very good baragin.

However I then stopped at game and picked up COD Ghosts for the PS3 for £32

Compliments my PS4 version quite well!
