Has anyone got a black e89 with gold /bronze wheels?
If so, could you post a picture.
Thanks.

I considered doing mine in gold or bronze and I had a mock up done which you can see below. However in the end I went for the least popular option of black and candy red.

Mine are shadow chrome just now. A bit dark for me. I like silver but I’d like to do something a bit different. I think I’ll go for it. Should I wrap the chrome side repeaters in gold as well?

Regarding the side repeaters, well it’s your choice. You can wrap them the same colour as the wheels so they go together and makes them stand out on the car or you can have them painted sapphire black as you can see on my car and they blend into the car. It’s really a personal choice as are the wheels. :D

Ahh. I see them now. I quite like that.

A few years ago had ours done in bronze. Changed them after about 9 months because unless the light was right they looked brown.

Sums up Gold, or bronze, or copper (or whatever you want to call them) wheels for me. You can convince yourself they look 'good different' only for a certain amount of time, then they start to look 'bad different'.

I bought a Civic last year with gold wheels (originally gloss black) which I thought looked 'good different' for about a week. I started to hate them very soon after.

IMO gold wheels are like gold wrought-iron gate finials.......should be reserved only for pikeys and 'max power' subscribers. :D

First time I've actually agreed with you! :driving:

Whilst I still like my bronze wheels after more than six years, I thoroughly agree with you otherwise. True to type, as an unemployed pikey, Her Majesty was a loyal fan of Max Power and her architectural tastes reflected that :D

Where’s the picture of your car, silver star, with black and red wheels or am I missing something?

I don’t hate that, but I have horrible taste! If dirty bronze wheels aren’t sufficiently awful:

I bought these as track wheels about ten years ago:
