I got the tyres taken off then split them myself,took them to a local wheel refurb place who dipped them and blasted them for 20 quid a wheel and I painted them myself .

Quick question: what have you used on your front lights? I've come across this stuff and unsure if covering just my front ambers would work or not. Trying to visualise it in my head but always think it might be a bit much (using silver/grey stuff to match my Z4).
 
I see PWO split his wheels before he got them refurbished (which is the way I thought they should be done).
I went to a alloy wheel shop this week looking for advice and the guy in the shop advised me from splitting my 108 wheels. Said that they wouldn’t 'seal' as well when they were put back together. I am guessing he was bullsh***ing me and just looking for the lazy way out of refurbishing the wheels. Is this correct?

I believe that can be true on certain split rims such as 3 piece rim but on 108 you can remove the stars even while the tries are still inflated, there is no seal to be broken so he's pulling your leg.
 
a11y, the film was from a local window tinting place , I went in there and he gave me a couple of bits to try . I did the indicator part in film and then used tinting spray to do the whole of the light . Done the back lights to , they are not as dark as they look in the pics though .I split my wheels as I wanted them doing properly , I don't see how you can paint them without doing so and painting all the small bolts . I have seen some one on here who took the Centre stars out and left the tyres on to refurb his.

Decisions!! Decisions!!

I can never make my mind up when wanting something new. Just seen these but dont know whether gunmetal will go with a silver car.
