Well sitting in my non air conditioned office today, I am absolutely sweltering, fans going but its just blowing warm air :(

Normally I don't mind the heat, but it is starting to grind me down, the poor guys in the workshop here are wilting,i went out at lunch and the car temp said 36 degrees, once went up to 37!!

Ooh to be by a pool with a cold beer :P

I saw a Tweet from the Met Office just now that says it's officially the hottest day this year, with a temp of 33.9C recorded in Charlwood in Surrey - the expectation is that it's still on the increase...

Must admit I have been envious of all the rag top drivers for the last 5 weeks. Coupe has been a bit warm to jump in to. :driving:

35C at Heathrow half an hour ago, although it may be starting to drop back now.. [end of weather report :D ]

I was out washing the Zed earlier. Cooler here than in land but still sweating after 20 mins on the sponge. I can feel a drive to the beach coming on. :D

We'll all be moaning it's freezing cold in a few months :)

Because it's hot in London today's lunchtime BBC News spent half it's time on global warming and how the Brits can't cope. I understand it's not fun for the elderly but you have to love this countries take on things that after a few weeks of warm weather or artic conditions we can't cope and the end is nigh.

Tim.

We do love a moan..

I don't mind the outside when it's hot.. it's when you're sat in a non-air conditioned office and its 31 Celsius in here.. that's when I moan!

I know there are other people that work in hotter conditions so it's not all bad, but still uncomfortable! :fuelfire:

My worst working environment was either:
  • working in an unairconditioned portacabin, in a car park, next to the furnaces in Llanwern
  • working in a glass office, on the ‘roof’ of a 12 storey office block, where the choice was ineffective air conditioning or hot breeze from open windows
Both were worse than working in Dubai at 400°C

Better than an open top vert... speedboating & swimming in the middle of a lake in Europe today with my inherited grandson :@)

Sorry peeps...

Not that far from you so it may head your way if its gonna be gloomy tomorrow may change my start time to 7am have a couple more beers with my Spag Bol :D

Just light showers in Maidstone tomorrow, according to the BBC, so should be fine

I’d join you but I’ve an appointment first thing...

Personally it’s the uncomfortable nights’ sleep I keep getting that’s wearing me down. The weather is great, though washing the Z is a proper chore after about 9am.

Well I've had 2 reasonable showers so far here in the East of Berkshire - the first was at about 6 pm.

But the best bit was the outdoor temperature dropped from about 30 degrees to 22 degrees after it started. Now I just need to cool the house down. :(

If it keeps tracking Eastwards you may get some rain in a few hours.

I know what Bings saying about sleeping :( , my temp says indoors is 32 degrees, outside is 24 degrees, so its definitely dropping, like Mr Tidy got to get the house cool now

Well that was some storm,,,, not
I assuming Bing you had your 5 am run? seeing how dramatically wrong for our region they got it
