Bitting off more than you can chew... (Language NSFW)

Seen that before, still makes me laugh though. Bet the bloke in the Z will think twice now about racing people. That R32 is awesome.

i love vw's (hence the name). my first car was a 1.8t and i modded the heck out of it. i was seriously considering the new TT over the Z. both great cars in their own respect.

it was on the way home from le Mans laast year and it started about 10 miles before the video clip, i came up behind three golf R32's at about 80, the first two moved over and we passed the third stayed in front and just kept building his speed till we were at about 140 when he moved over, i kept going and pulled in front, soon as i did he was in my slip streamas it appeared he was trying to get a tow, as i had let the car go we were all but flat out and he started to drop back about three/four car lengths then accalerate up to my back end again, after doing this three times i understood this was no ordinary R32 and moved over, as i did he cleared off, we continued to have a play for a good few miles and it was obvious from the speed and the noise this car was seriously sorted, as we steadied down i thought of the digi camera and thought i had to get this thing on film which is when you start to see the clip.
So, i knew what iot was all about and the film was made to show the absolute amazing speed of the Golf, in another turn of events about three weeks later the owner, Henrick, contacted me thropugh another forum and we have since become good friends and i can laugh about the thing, he has also told me that it is often his trick to lure people in so he can embarass them :x , anyway, next week i am going to The Ring with another bunch of forum guys and i am again going to meet him and his r32 friends, he has promised me a few pax laps in his car which incidently has a twin turbo conversion and is running 515bhp, here's where from. http://www.hgp-turbo.de, i will post a report on my return and this is the car in question....

That's a great story behind and credit to you for posting the vid on youtube. I really love 'stealth' cars like that. No great mass of wxhaust, spoilers or decals, etc. just some serious underneath engineering.

Enjoy the Ring
