Bits missing from Wind deflector Fitting

Hey all,

first time post here and its really all about me trying to add those little extras to my new z4. So expect some more posts soon!
Just bought a 2005 2.2l, but it doesn't have a deflector.
I have bought one off of ebay which i thought had all the parts. It appears i am missing one of the 20mm torx bolts (the dude chucked in 4 wood screws for some reason??) and i am missing the speed nuts (grommets) which are used to mount the deflector onto the boot lid.

Does anyone know where i can get these? There isn't explicit part numbers and i don't fancy having a chat with a dealer just yet. I have seen fitting kits but i am really not up for paying more to get a screw and two pieces of plastic.

Thanks

Ferg

did it have the rollbar inserts as well?

Not sure what you mean about the 'speed nuts' being used to mount the deflector to the boot lid....I assume you mean the fixings to fit the brackets to the bootlid which then mount the deflector?

I'd alweays be suss about these ebay things....its extremely unusual to get the whole kit on its own as it means butchering the roll hoops to get it all off.....

I'm guessing that the bolts you are missing were put back to fill the holes left when the delfector was removed. I have also gathered all the bits off ebay to retrofit the deflector, best find was a pair of brand new roll bar inserts a couple of months back. All I need now is to order replacement roll bar covers from bmmini parts. I'm looking at getting it all done for about £100 with the contribution of selling my leather/mesh one first.

Yarp, BMW refer to the threaded inserts for the boot mounted brackets as speednuts. I need some of these too but haven't managed to find any online. Dealer the only option I think.

Yeah you are right, i ended up buying the boot kit from a very friendly ebay seller!

Now i am onto the centre piece. I suspect i'll end up buying another mounting kit and roll hoops. :(

Digging up an old thread but didn't want to start a new one just for this nugget of information. After getting the parts second hand the one thing I was missing were the speed nuts. After taking a gamble I ordered 4 x expanding nuts 63171367868 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171270607249?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2648). They are the perfect fit and I can only assume the correct part.

Following the measurements from this thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=20470#p293768 I drilled through the covers rather than replacing them, the mounts have gone on fine. I think my measurements end up more like 7/8mm and 45/46mm, will try and add a photo to make a bit more sense.

Do the 4 bolts tap into the outer covers or does one have to drill through to the inner part?

I used a 2mm drill bit to put holes in the outer covers, the torx screws felt like they caught a thread on the inner cover.

Those nuts were just for in the boot.
