Why can't I just have plain brown Hovis or plain white hot buttered toast with no Bloody Bits ?

I'm fed up with her saying its good for you, I want NO BITS

Rant over

You need to do the shopping instead of letting the wife do it :D

Talking of bread, we bought a 50/50 sliced loaf the other day as one friend who was visiting likes white bread.
The loaf was neither brown nor white but somewhere in between :x never again!.
Since found out it's the flour that's 50/50.

A man after my own heart!
My wife has just discovered slow cooking and everything is now cooked for 8 hours or more. It's not so much melt in your mouth as use this straw to suck it up. All I want is something I can chew especially as my teeth still function!

A compromise is needed here Jim,

Slap half a dozen rashers of streaky cancer inducing pig on there and you'll not notice any bits... :happyclap:

Lol same here, but I'm on the other side of the fence as I actually really like a decent slow cooked meal. Get yourself some pulled pork in there, or do a nice steak and ale stew which can be finished off on a puff pastry pie in the oven.

Also don't mind brown bread...

A bit back the boy asked me for some white bread for a change for his morning toast so I bought a sliced farmhouse white loaf, the stuff with a nice hard crust and soft middle, took him to school as usual, that night his mum had come home and fed the rest of the loaf to the birds, "He's not eating that plain white rubbish"

The other week she brought some rye bread home from the farm shop with walnut and bloody treacle in.....'oribble... :headbang:

Well I got home tonight and guess what was on the kitchen side ?

Only a plain brown thick cut sliced loaf NO BITS :D

Swmbo is not a happy bunny, I give up she cries.

Looking forward to nice hot "real" buttered (not low colestoral spread) toast for Breckie in the morning.
For the hell of it I might even put honey on as well

Talk about living life on the edge.
