I know a few E85/E86 been doing 14.2 Secs on quater mile - but has anyone in an E89 3.0i/35i/35IS done an sprint - and what times did you get?

You animal you cant drag race Z4's :poke:

I ran my Z3M a few times down Pod and the best I got was 13.8

Haven't timed this on the 35is but apparently there is a launch control setting which brings you very close to 13 seconds... :D

Mine did 14.2 will be hard for me to break into 13s I think. If those e89 35i go anything like the 335i then there good for 13s possibly 12's with good tunning seen loads run 13s at pod

I was racing a 275bhp Mx5 all morning he was getting 13.8-14s as soon as he switched his launch control off he was doing 13.6s each time. Launch control was causing to much clutch slip

Launch control is ace if you've not tried it. But maybe don't mention that on here if you have or do considering the pending sale.

Have a look here...http://www.zeroto60times.com/

Interesting read seems quite accurate as I was getting 14.2s in my 3.0i and that was with heavier 19" alloys and my subwoofer in the boot. My target is a sub 14s run with some ecu tuning, smaller wheels and shed some weight lighter seats etc.

That M3 GT3 did 11.3s that is rapid there was a 135i that did a 11.9 at bmw santapod show last year he'd spent loads on tuning though

having read through this http://www.zeroto60times.com/ it would seem somewhere between 12.5s and 13.1 going off the 0-60 times as it says the Z4 35is is 4.3s

If you take out the B7's these are the quickest bmw's in approx order

M3 GT3 3.3 / 11.3
M5 3.6 / 11.8
2015 M4/M3 3.8 / 12.0
650i 4.1 / 12.4
Z3M 4.4 / 12.9
2011 335is 4.5 / 13.1

I find manufactures 1/4 miles unrealistic - or just me been a fatty and having half a 1/2 tank a fuel.

Considering the mods on my car I have only currently able to get 14.09secs.

However need to replace RFT - as constantly spinning rear alloys - and timing currently running slow

Yeah you should be in the 13s easily the e89 is heavier though maybe why my times are decent with less power. The e85 is only 1350kg that's probably why the Z3M 1/4 mile is so quick as its lighter. Any wheel spin you hear is loosing you time remember it might only sound slight inside the car but in time that's probably 1/2 second your loosing. Gear changes is another where u loose time I was shifting at 65000rpm to get my quickest times. Those RFT tyres will be too hard and you need to deflate your tyres to around 25psi don't go lower than 20psi I was told by other drag racers. That improved my times from santapod where half the time all I did was spin on the start. That was with new tyres too only because I was running 32 psi ront 35psi rear way to much for drag now I realise.
