Bit of a dilemma....your thoughts?

Based on what I have read I would take the first car. If you have time take them both out for a decent spin and make you derision.

As Mentioned,
Will be viewing the blue straight six tomorrow. Same owner last 5 years and done less than 300miles a year. Sounds like his baby. This was the first car we started communicating on, over 3 weeks ago. Maybe its destiny?

Tomorrow will soon tell...guys seems really nice and loves the car.

Will update tomorrow, we might be driving home in it if all is well!

Hi Tony, thanks I will see how the 2.5 goes this morning!

I noticed from your threads a post about upgrading the Angel Eyes. Can I ask what you eventually did?

Cheers

Andy

Hi
I changed the angel eyes bulbs for the white leds and it looks a load better than the standard yellow looking bmw ones
Really easy to do and reversable if you want to.
The only other mods ive done is fit the smart top module and fitted the later chrome side indicators which really update the looks
All very easy to do
Tony

Cool thanks.

Well, Im now a z4 owner!

Did the deal on the Deep sea blue one this afternoon and then drove home 180 miles in it!

The car is in excellent condition, having been really well looked after by its last owner of 4 years who only did 300 miles a year!

It was amazing that the thing did 40mpg over the trip, even though I was testing the performance a few times.....

There are a few rattles from around the cab, but I will look further into them over the next few days. The paintwork is really clean and almost mark free.

It just feels like a good, well looked after honest car. Im delighted with it, especially the price I paid for a 2 owner, 22000 mile car.

Photos to follow once Ive run my machine polisher over it and added a layer of ceramic coating.

Next step is to get some other 18's as the wife isnt keen on the fitted ones. - they will be used as winter wheels if I can find a suitable alternative.

Also plan to upgrade the angel eyes to led bulbs, but still trying to find out if its worth doing, there are a lot of conflicting reports on here!

Congratulations, you've got to love a deep sea blue Z particularly with a smooth straight six

Cheers guys...

Only had the car a day and already have the same thoughts towards it as I did to my Elise.....

Feels like one of the family!

I bought a 23i a few months back with 40000 on the clock for £12500. The car looks brand new. I had a 350z roadster prior to it. Yes it is down on power but the straight 6 is silky smooth. I'm the same, 50 years young and done all the fast bikes etc. I love driving it and really can't see myself ever selling it on.

Nice one Del!

Mine will be going for a long weekend away on saturday, 150 miles down to Glasgow, spending the weekend shopping, art gallery and museum!

Then we will go home via the scenic route.....I really hope the weather holds out so we can get the roof down plenty!

Lovely looking car OP.

I really like Deep Sea blue on an E89, and for me a straight 6 is one of the unique features of a Z4 compared to rivals.

Enjoy! :driving:

Just to finish up the thread,
After more hours than I care to admit, machine polishing and ceramic coating, here is the finished article!

Collect in about a weeek and a half.....car is fully loaded.... idrive, comfort, pro audio etc...

Great looking car. My favourite colour. I used to own one in Melbourne Red.

 not got it yet!!

All I can say is it looks amazing! 1 owner from new, FBMWSH and lots of options.
Most surprising thing is the ride quality...I thought it would be horrific on 19s with RFTs but it really didn’t feel any different to my current SE on 18s.
The car generally feels better built - it is 4 years newer, so I assume there have been hundreds of changes in that time, many of which improved the quality.
Cannot wait to collect in about 10 days time....just means another 1000 mile round trip! We are currently in Yorkshire, having collected my wife’s brand new Golf GTE advance on Friday evening... it’s quite an amazing piece of technology.....26C21FB3-721D-401A-9C71-88A8AABD9FF0.jpeg
