So i have been on here for a while, not done a huge load of posts really, so thought id do a but of build thread on how my Z is coming along.
Bought it just shy of 6 months back, its a Sterling Grey 3.0i manual
Black leather with Nav but not heated seats!
So she started off pretty normal, coming from a very low E46 330cd Convertible, i said to myself this has got to be a bit of fun and i wont do much to it ..
So first thing, i missed the big chunky steering wheel from the E46, i bought an M3 wheel and got it trimmed in Nappa leather by Royal wheels .. this match my shortened weighted gearknob too
This really helped with the feel of the car and made it a nice car to drive, so once i had got the bug i carried on
I took it to Promap tuning in Deeside, North Wales for a remap, i know not huge gains, but such a better car to drive now and it really does go well!
Next came 30mm lowering springs and 20mm rear spacers and 15mm front and also gloss black kidney grills
So at this point .. i was done, i decided im not playing anymore! ... didnt last long, my standard wheels were refurbed in black and threw 20mm spacers on the front aswel
Then came the coilovers. And i lowered her a bit more, so she was sitting nice now
Bored of the black wheels so along came the 19" CSL wheels of an M3, fitment was good!
After that, along came an M3 Coupe interior, miles better than the standard seats!
Ok, this time, im really done, no more playing ill just enjoy the car!
Went driving one weekend into wales with an e46 M3 and a 140i .. when i got home, i said to myself, i need more noise! So straight onto JM Performance in Birkenhead who did the backbox mod for me! Really really neat job and the noise difference is great!
Seen a few done on here and was kind of shocked by the welding jobs done, and i got my done for a cheaper price!
Pictures to follow .....
