Bird strike, lost a grill!

Magpie flew across the front of the car.
Loud thump as he hits the grill, then a double thump as he, then something black hits the windscreen.

Couple of black marks on the windscreen and one grill missing, luckily no other damage.

Question is now what do I replace the grills with?
I have the OEM ones in the loft and one Matt black grill.
I remember seeing newish Bmw style grills, but can’t find them or know the name to look for them.
Any clues
 
That could be the front of mine blue with black grills - mine had black grills when I got it.

I'm thinking about going to chrome and black which I think were original fitment for a 3.0si (waits to be corrected). What colour are your OEM ones?

Well for the Zed. :wink:

I had a peacock run out in front of the Zed a few weeks back. Saw the daft bird again today. Obviously lives in someones garden at the top of the hill. Tis national limit there, so I'd say it's day are numbered. :(

Happy to swap these with you - I assume that they are aftermarket. Will even wash them first :lol:

Sorry to hear about that OP. :(

I got a pheasant wedged under the driver's side fog-lamp on my 1st Coupe - birds just can't keep away from Z4s!

I swapped the OE chrome with grey slat kidneys on my 2nd Coupe for chrome with black slats as I thought they worked better with Montego Blue.

Thanks for the offer but I’d like to keep the original bits in case I ever sell the car (god forbid I ever do that).
 
I have a pair of oem chrome and grey ones for a 3.0Si going spare if you are interested? Super condition.

Maybe if I saw them in the flesh I may change my mind. Nice that we all have different tastes, makes life more interesting :)
