Bird Droppings On Bonnet

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to remove bird droppings marks left on bonnet. Cleaned up with supagaurd birdlime remover as soon as noticed and washed when I got home but still can see the paint stained where the mess was. Anybody know of any product or how to possibly remove stains? :headbang:

Trouble is, its probably not stained but etched which requires some cutting of the clearcoat... What colour is it ?

Try clay bar then wax well. If that doesn't work, time for more aggressive measures.

The colour is Stering Grey. I think that it has etched itself in the clearcoat. How much does the clay bar cut as I have never used one? I have just got a Maguaires clay kit so I might give that a try.

The clay bar (I don t think) removes little or any of the paint or clearcoat finish. It is primarily used to remove surface bonded contaminents, and does it well. I reall y think if etching has taken place then to start with the absolute mildest of abrasive products would be the way forward. Have you tried a search in the detailing section.
Only my opinion based on experience when having to remove similar marks from the bonnet of a solid black lancia delta I had some years back, bearing in mind paint technology was nt quite as far forward as it is now and I doubt that lancia even had a clear top coat. I removed it never the less

zymol have the clay bar and spray to remove stains from bird droppings, but quite expensive (£50-£60).

Been looking but I cant find anything what one might call simple. The only thing I can see if the likes of T-Cut and the rest dosn't work will have to be wet sanding. I am just trying to not go down that road if i can help it.

AutoGlym paint renovator seems to be the only product to be able to deal with that one.

My Zed had marks like that when I got it , Tried to "aggersively" polish it off and it went right down to the undercoat, take care

muppet what did you end up doing after it got down to undercoat. Did you have to get resprayed? I am going to have a look at the products you guys have mentioned and order some and try. Looks like the zymol even tough expensive says that it can remove the marks. Might order that and try.

It was buffed down with mechanical polisher, point i was making is the bird sh1t eats right through the paint. no respray on a 10 year old car though.
