Bing, show us your....

Yeah, yeah, ok. Only got back yesterday, still sorting them out. I may be unemployed, but I am a very busy person lol. Couple of iPhone pics that I have managed to upload -

A view from the highest level you can get to in the Colosseum - we are higher than everyone else you can see, at the level of the square windows, but not as high as you used to be able to get unfortunately. The covered area is a replication of the arena floor, went there and also underneath to the lowest level (none of those pics uploaded yet) :

A couple of views of the big arch out the front without fencing in the way (can't remember it's name right now  ), and of the forum Romana, both from the upper level of the Colosseum :

The Dome of St Peter's from the outside on the roof - yes we did go right to the top, best hour's queue and 551 stairs ever but not uploaded any of those pics yet :

Dessert at the Ristorante Eleonora D'Arborea as recommended on here, rated #12 out of 4,700+ restaurants in Rome on Trip Advisor. Very nice, we were very well looked after :

Got a couple of spots that I have posted on the relevant threads - two e89s, an e86 and I did see a black e85 facelift but wasn't quick enough to get a photo :x

Weather was lovely - as Mark will confirm as he is still there - eating and taxis expensive as advised on here, Mrs B loved the food and we all have sore feet.

That's your lot for now, I'll get on it later / tomorrow

Lovely pics Bing  like the Colosseum one in particular. Nice to see you had some bright weather too. Hope it was all in all a good trip. Makes me want to go back to Rome.

Nice. Have been meaning to go back sometime. Were you tempted to drive down in the Zed?

Nah, I have driven in Rome before, years ago. Not fun :o

And anyway, there were three of us :D

I have a bunch more pics - I'll get some of the better ones up tomorrow.

Fair enough, it is a bit of a trek! Can you recommend the hotel you stayed in? I'm considering Rome this summer.

Just jumping in with my recommendation. We always stay in the Hosianum Palace. It's perfectly located for everything and it's a great hotel for staff, breakfast & rooms.

Cool pics Bing. Looks like giving this work lark a miss at the moment is suiting you

Glad you went up the cupola more fun crawling round the Vatican museums for wee Bing. Inspired me to book a week in Italy in June.
