Bin Laden dead...

Mcbee,

Don't get me wrong mate, my best mate worked for Chase-Manhattan bank, had an office in one of the towers, pure, blind luck that he wasn't there.

I for one was very pleased to hear of Bin-Ladens' demise, shame they couldn't get the mofo alive and do all sorts of things not allowed under international Law. I just think he will be quickly replaced, and this problem is far from over, it needs a complete mindset change in a huge swathe of humanity before the problem will go away. That's gonna take hundreds of years, not tens.

agree 100%, and I firmly believe we should have left them alone years ago, it's none of our business if they want to live in the stone age, left over colonialism and the "Missionary" mentality have caused a large part of the trouble today. It's hard to see all the squalor and hardship without wanting to do something but if that's what they want let them have it. Close the borders and stop the "Bleeding Heart" idealism and let them go back to the stone age, it's their choice...not ours.

I could not agree more...

I hear what you say, but it is either a choice of stopping the rot at source or wait until it tries to invade you.

Unfortunately the no1 invaders of other countries are the US, followed closely by the UK.
The US meddle in everyone else's' business, and that is the reason behind 911 and all the other terrorist attacks against them and us.

The most rapid growing business in the Arab world, is the one that sells American flags and matches. thats how welcome democracy is. Leave them to live their own barbaric ways.

Well to be more accurate, GB had the largest empire the world has ever known, so technically we invaded far more countries than the US ever has....thats why so many things are coming home to roost.....

That's us! We (as a country) have started more wars and conflicts than any other nation on earth! But we also finished more too.

We also brought Law and Order, wealth and all the other trappings of civilisation (including trousers) to far flung corners of the world.

But did they want our so called Civilization?

That is the question they seem to be answering with RPG's and suicide bombs now...

so on a lighter note I hear that Osama's men were shocked to hear the news about their leaders death as nobody ever takes Bins out on a Bank Holiday.

steve853, It's basically about how the US carried out the 9/11 attach on themselves to then have an excuse to invade the Middle East and basically do whatever they want.
Also your comment about why the West doesn't just leave the East alone is because it's in their interest to... They can sell arms and nick the oil.

lacroupade, Have you watched it then?

MM, I cant help thinking about the Nostradamus prophecy that it will all end very badly in 2012. It is all heading in a very bad direction. I am seriously considering just getting six months tax.

Whilst I'm not considering just getting 6 months tax I do think there's a lot of stuff coming together that points to impending doom. There just seems to be so many bad things happening around the world and it feels like it's getting worse all the time. Probably just brain doing overtime and putting things together that aren't really that way but it's something I can't seem to get away from.

Shirley Spain's was larger? (All of South, Central America, Caribbean, most of Italy, Holland, Phillipines and the whole Iberian peninsular)

Back on topic:

The "not and never was head" of an "organisation that never really existed" has been killed. Not much will change unless they get / kill someone like Al Zawahari.

Still. Glad he's dead. One less w***er in the world...

Muslim Council of Great Britain said:
Now Let the Healing Begin

Farooq Murad, the Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain, made the following statement on the reported death of Osama bin Laden:

“Few will mourn the reported death of Osama bin Laden, least of all Muslims. Many Muslims will reflect on the ten years that have passed in which our faith and our community have been seen through the prism of terrorism and security. The Muslim Council of Britain has consistently stood firm against terrorism and violence, and will continue to do so. His extremism has been responsible for the deaths of many people, including many Muslims around the world. The actions of his movement which have no basis in the teachings of Islam have led to the pursuit of unjust wars and untold suffering.

Today our thoughts must be with the families of all those who suffered in the terrorist attacks around the world as well as of thousands of innocent lives lost in the wars against terrorism. It is unfortunate that his death has deprived them of the opportunity to see him brought to justice in the court of law.

Al-Qaeda’s ability to sow discord and mistrust between Muslims and others has caused untold damage. We must restore our belief in human dignity and peace by ensuring that we stand firm against all forms of hatred, injustices and violence.”

I don't know who Shirley Spain was but I've never heard of her empire?

But seriously, no is the answer - the British Empire was way the largest ever, period. 25% of the worlds land mass and 25% of its population at its height.

Sadly there are too many people, our politicians included, that think thats still the case...... :headbang:

Oh and @peddy....yep, watched it and several others like it. Not convinced I'm afraid...."don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see" is my motto! You can hypothesize til the cows come home about some things, especially when they are as complex is 9/11 was but from what I see, all the evidence is there.

It like the conspiracy theorists kicking off already about Bin Laden, I mean why the hell would any government think it a good idea to fake such an episode??? It just defies logic, like the idea that a government would crash planes into its capital city and key defence building.....maybe time will prove me wrong, probably long after I'm dead, but I doubt it somehow.

You're right, British was largerst (if you believe Wiki). Apparently it was British > Mongol > Russian > Spanish

Don't bother watching loose change anyone, it's a load of loose stool water.
