BimmerCode help!

So calling all BimmerCode experts. Finally went to the length of buying the full version of BimmerCode only to find there isn’t much I can do with it on my car. What I did manage to do was disable the ability to lower the roof remotely with my ignition key!. My question is what have I done? I’m pretty sure 2 clicks of the key now lower the window when I enter the vehicle and I haven’t had the car for very long but don’t think it did that before. Where do I need to go to reverse the coding error I’ve made so that I can once again admire the majesty of my roof coming down from outside the car?

Let me say straight away, I'm not any kind of expert in all this coding magic but a thought occurs...............

Have you maybe just run down the battery while you were playing around with it? If so, the roof may well refuse to move.

There are the two possibilities..as was said the battery going even partially flat can ruin your day....as a general guide you should only operate the roof with the engine running for a period of time..that way you can guarantee that the electronics and hydraulics are getting plenty of juice..

So battery on charge for 24 hours with a decent AGM charger is a good place to start..

As far as using any of these coders..who knows what you’ve done ...normally almost all these coders offer you the option to backup your existing set up for each module / subsystem which of course you did..

Then you simply restore the good version if it all goes Pete Tong..
