Hello everyone. I recently purchased the Bilstein B6 Struts and Shocks, along with the M sport suspension springs made by Lesjofors, and Meyle mounts. My car is an '03 3.0i with just the stock suspension. I went forward and switched over to the new struts and springs in the front and discovered the car is now sitting higher than when it was stock. I was expecting a slight drop.
I decided to experiment with the back. I havent received the B6 shocks yet since they were on back order. I ended up switching in the new springs and kept the stock shocks. After lowering the car and driving it around the block the back end came down to a height i expected it to be. Here is a pic after i drove it around the block. Currently the front is sitting roughly an inch higher than the rear. Once i get the shocks in the mail tomorrow I'll throw them on and see if the rear becomes in line with the front. Do the B6's need to settle? I've heard other testimonials about the B4's and B6's have increased the ride height of other cars such as the e46 due to Bilstein's having much more internal pressure than Sachs for instance. I dont know if im going to be a fan if the B6's keep my car up this high
