Bilstein B12 kit external bump stops

Hi all,

I have the B12 kit fitted to my E86 Z4M (it came already fitted when I bought the car). Whilst cleaning the car recently I noticed that the external bump stop fitted to one of the rears has perished (causing the dust boot to slide off the bottom, as seen in the photo below).



I've read elsewhere that the B6 inserts have internal bump stops so I shouldn't need external bump stops, and the B12 kit doesn't come with external bump stops for the rear at all. Does the bump stop in my photo therefore look like the standard BMW rear (P/N 33507838832)?

Since the B6 inserts have internal bump stops can I get away with just removing the perished bump stop and dust boot completely?

B6 front struts (inverted monotube) have internal bump stops, but the rears are normal and require external bump stops. You should buy 2 new original BMW bump stops again, yep.
